Terms of Service
Effective date: September 2, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Saka. Saka is operated by Sufyan Dawoodjee in California.
Agreement and eligibility
By using Saka, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 13. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Saka only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
Service availability
Saka may contain errors, change substantially, become unavailable, or be discontinued. Features may be added, removed, or changed without notice. Saka may impose or change usage limits and may decline to provide any feature. We do not promise uptime, performance, support, compatibility, or preservation of data.
Free access
Saka is free to use. Paid plans and paid features are not available at this time. If that changes, we will provide additional terms before charging for anything.
Accounts and sign-in
You may use Saka anonymously where that is available. Account access uses Google, Microsoft, or GitHub. You are responsible for keeping your provider account secure and for activity under your Saka account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account was used without your permission.
Permission to use Saka
Subject to these Terms, Saka gives you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the service for lawful purposes. Saka reserves all rights not expressly granted in these Terms.
Your data
You retain your rights in your databases, files, records, and other content. Saka processes this content in the app. Some features may store or back up content to cloud infrastructure when enabled. You give Saka the limited permission reasonably needed to process, host, store, transmit, back up, and make your content available through the service; you do not transfer ownership of your content.
You are responsible for your content, its accuracy and legality, the rights and permissions needed to use it, and compliance with laws that apply to it. Saka does not review or verify your content and is not responsible for decisions or results based on it.
Backups and data loss
Cloud storage and backups, if provided, are for service operation and disaster recovery and are not a guaranteed backup service. Copies may be incomplete, outdated, corrupted, unavailable, or deleted, and Saka does not guarantee that any content can be recovered. You are responsible for maintaining independent exports and backups. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saka is not responsible for loss, corruption, or inability to recover your data.
Acceptable use
You may not use Saka to:
- break the law or violate another person's rights;
- attack, probe, overload, or interfere with the service;
- bypass authentication, rate limits, or security controls;
- upload malware, credentials, or content you have no right to use; or
- create unreasonable risks for Saka, its providers, or other users.
Saka is not designed for emergency, life-safety, medical, legal, financial, or other high-risk decisions where errors, delays, or data loss could cause significant harm. You assume the risk of using Saka for those purposes.
Your responsibility for claims
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sufyan Dawoodjee and Saka from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs, including legal fees, arising from your content, your unlawful use of Saka, or your material violation of these Terms.
Saka property and feedback
Saka owns its software, branding, documentation, and site content. You may send feedback, and we may use it without restriction or payment, but this does not transfer ownership of your content.
Third-party services
Saka relies on Cloudflare, PlanetScale, Google, Microsoft, and GitHub for cloud infrastructure, database storage, authentication, analytics, security, and support, as described in the Privacy Policy. Public issue tracking is an external support channel. Your use of third-party services is also subject to their terms. Saka does not control or make warranties about third-party services or content and is not responsible for them.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, security concerns, legal requirements, or shutdown of the service. You may stop using Saka at any time. Export your data before ending use or removing local copies. Cloud-stored content and backups may become unavailable or be deleted after termination.
Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAKA IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, AND DATA PRESERVATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SAKA WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR NEEDS. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be waived.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sufyan Dawoodjee and Saka will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, revenue, business opportunities, or goodwill arising from or relating to Saka. Saka's total liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed $100, even if Saka knew or should have known that a loss was possible. These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited.
Events beyond our control
Saka is not responsible for delay, failure, or loss caused by events outside its reasonable control, including failures of networks, infrastructure, service providers, utilities, security incidents, natural events, government actions, or labor disputes.
California law
California law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in California will have jurisdiction over disputes to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Saka changes. We will post updated Terms here and revise the effective date. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
General terms
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Saka regarding the service. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without Saka's written consent. Saka may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of the service or business. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including those concerning ownership, responsibility for claims, disclaimers, and limits on liability.
